Independent store shout out - February
This month we've been busier than ever visiting and chatting to our independent stores. It been great to hear their feedback on our new collections and how they envision the coming months of trade. As ever we also love when the stores tag us on social media so we can see their beautiful displays and windows.
Retail Brand Development Manager Tim visited Indian Summer who has been trading since 2004 with a very loyal local customer base. The store is full of colourful product, gift, homeware, clothing and children’s product. Tim spoke with the store Manager Aoife who runs the store day to day and assists the owner with product selection. Here's some of the insights she gave:
How is trade currently?
Aoife: Trade is buoyant and picking up after half term, when a lot of the local residents are away.
What’s the focus for the next few months?
Aoife: Our focus is on Mother’s Day and Easter- the grass bunnies are always a favourite product, fun and quirky.
What's selling well?
Aoife: The coloured glass candlesticks and birthday products are always popular with our customers.
What more would you like to see from us?
Aoife: We sometimes struggle with content and love the imagery you supply, so more content is always welcomed for social media. It will also be very interesting to visit your open showroom week to see Christmas ranges in the run up to AW23.
