This World Rainforest Day we are reminded that trees are vital. The world’s most impressive multi-tasker; they give us oxygen, store carbon, filter the air, stabilise the soil and give life to the world's wildlife. The tagline for the day is ‘Because the world can’t wait’. And that’s why Talking Tables have held a Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) licence for 10 years. The FSC promotes responsible management of the world’s forests and its certification system enables businesses and consumers to choose paper products made with materials from responsibly managed, renewable forests. Look out for our green tree logo for all of our FSC certified items. We’re also working with Ecologi who provide both companies and individuals with the opportunity to plant trees via projects involving local communities around the world – over 40 million so far. We’re offsetting all the paper used to make our paper napkins and games.

We couldn’t agree more with Prima’s al fresco dining advice (or their choice of Talking Tables’ Alice tablescape image): “Whether you’re hosting a garden party or afternoon tea, polish off your look with some smart finishing touches. Displaying singular stems in simple bud vases alongside larger floral bouquets will add interest and create a blossoming tablescape.
